The 6th Annual Home Run Derby is being held on Thursday, May 22nd during 8th period @ Zotto Stadium, (gymnasium.) The event proceeds this year will go to Mr. Mike Carucci a long time Troy School District employee who is battling a serious brain tumor. Mr. Carucci has worked in the district for (34) years. He is an avid Toronto Maple Leaf fan, enjoys playing the guitar and is a skilled carpenter along with being great guy. Plan to come out and support this very worthwhile event. …

20th Annual Scholar-Athlete Awards Dinner

This past Monday night Troy High’s Senior Tightend, Matt Marsh was invited to the 20th Annual Scholar-Athlete Awards Dinner at the Holiday Inn on Wolf Road. It was the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame for the Capital District Chapter. Every school in the Capital District Chapter selected one student from their school to receive this award. Matt, along with 53 other athletes were nominated, and lucky to have this great experience. With the conference semi-finals in play the Celtics and Cavaliers are all tied up 2-2. The Cavaliers are still being led by their young star LeBron James who is averaging 30 points per game in the playoffs.
