The Information We Collect

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the eCommSports.com Web site. There are areas of this site that are restricted from public use and are accessible only by Instructors employed by schools that have officially licensed the eCommSports Kit. In these restricted areas, eCommSports instructors enter and maintain personal information about students enrolled in their eCommSports classes. This personal information could include each student’s full or partial name, e-mail address, and the user ID and password that the instructor has assigned to students who are authorized to enter and edit information that appears at the publicly accessible areas of the site. Instructors and students who have access to this restricted area also have the ability to submit information about students and staff who participate in their school’s interscholastic sports programs. Although the eCommSports.com Web site is expressly designed to provide schools with an on-line forum for promoting the positive aspects of their school’s students and programs, schools licensing the eCommSports curriculum are solely responsible for all such content posted at the site. And, while our Companies agree not to reveal the log-on information necessary to enter these restricted areas of eCommSports.com to any organization or individual, the we are not responsible in the event that an Instructor or Student does so. Each school that licenses the eCommSports Kit is given the ability to operate a "mailing list" sign-up feature and a fan message forum at their school’s publicly accessible portion of the eCommSports.com Web site. On these pages, site visitors can register to receive e-mail, submit answers to trivia questions, post messages of support, etc. The types of personal information collected at these pages could include name, e-mail address, and age.

How We Use Information

We use the information you provide about yourself when using these interactive features only to provide you with the information or service you’ve requested by doing so. We do not share this information with outside parties. We use return e-mail addresses to answer the e-mail we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. You can register with our Web site if you would like to try the on-line demo for the eCommSports Kit or to receive more information about the site or our other new products and services. Schools that license the eCommSports Kit use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design their areas of this Web site and to share with advertisers. For example, they may tell an advertiser that a certain number of individuals visited a certain area at their school’s portion of the Web site, or that a number of people or teenagers filled out a mailing list membership form, but these schools should not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals. Schools that license the eCommSports Kit may also choose to include an advertiser’s message within the e-mailings that they send to their respective mailing list(s). Since all mailing list member e-mailings are created and distributed only by the School, this practice will not require the school to share any user’s e-mail address with the advertiser whose sales message is incorporated within any mailing list member’s e-mailed message. And, finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
