  This page will highlight the latest information available about the team, its players, and its fans. The Home Page will always include three articles. The top article will preview the team’s next game. The second article will feature an interview with one of the team’s players. The third article will describe and promote the next planned fan activity or promotion.

• Why will this page be attractive to both first-time and repeat site visitors?

  It will highlight the best, most current information the site has to offer. Since it will be updated weekly, repeat visitors will appreciate the ability to get a summary of what’s new at the site from this page. The articles will be accompanied by the most current available photos, helping to emphasize to repeat visitors that the site has been updated since they last visited.

• Who will be responsible for creating the content for this page’s initial version?

  The content for this page will be drawn from articles created for the other pages of this site.

• What is purpose of this page and what sort of content will it feature?

  This page will highlight interviews conducted with each player on the Patriot roster and also feature the bio and photo of the Patriot player being interviewed. This page will also link to a “Profiles” area that displays the team’s roster. Each player’s name will be linked to a short personal profile of the player accompanied by a photo of the individual.

• Why will this page be attractive to both first-time and repeat site visitors?

  It will help visitors learn more about the players on the team both as athletes and as individuals. By featuring a different player interview and profile each week, visitors will be more likely to return to this page to see who is being featured each week.

• Who will be responsible for creating the content for this page’s initial version?

  Each player on the team will complete a Personal Profile questionnaire. Their answers will be used to create their Personal Profile for this page. Mrs. Leeds, wife of the team’s head coach, has offered to interview each player on the team and take photos with her digital camera. Geena Kelley will be responsible for turning content from questionnaires into finished player profiles.

• What is purpose of this page and what sort of content will it feature?

  This page will provide updated summaries of the team’s season-to-date stats, won-loss record, and league standings. It will also include articles describing noteworthy statistical achievements of Patriot players. This page will also link to a “Profiles” area that displays updated individual stats for each team player.

• Why will this page be attractive to both first-time and repeat site visitors?

  Sports fans love statistics and this site will have more Lincoln High School hoops statistics than any other source. By keeping the stats updated, we will encourage repeat visits to this page.

• Who will be responsible for creating the content for this page’s initial version?

  The basketball team’s Manager, Tom Lewis, keeps an updated record of all team and individual player stats. The morning after each game, Tom will give a copy of his updated stats report to Kyle Martin, who will post them at the site.

• What is purpose of this page and what sort of content will it feature?

  This page will provide written summaries of the highlights of the team’s most recent games. Summaries of the three most recent games will be displayed. It will also display a schedule of just completed and upcoming games.

• Why will this page be attractive to both first-time and repeat site visitors?

  All fans will consult this page to find out when and where the team plays next. Fans unable to attend a game will visit this page to learn how the team and their favorite players performed. Even fans who attended the game will check this page to find out statistical information they did not get at the game. Players will be able to click on completed game postings in the schedule display to review written summaries for those games.

• Who will be responsible for creating the content for this page’s initial version?

  The basketball team’s Manager, Tom Lewis, has offered to write a summary after each game and submit it with the statistics sheets he is providing after each game.

• What is purpose of this page and what sort of content will it feature?

  This page will feature articles profiling each member of the Patriots’ two-person coaching staff. A third article on this page will feature periodic interviews with the team coaches. These interviews will discuss the team’s prospects and performance from the coaches’ perspective.

• Why will this page be attractive to both first-time and repeat site visitors?

  The periodic interviews with the coaches will help draw repeat traffic to this page.

  Each coach will be asked to complete a questionnaire that will provide the personal background information necessary for their profiles. Geena Kelley will be responsible for turning the content from questionnaires into finished coaches profiles. Mrs. Leeds has been asked if she would be willing to do the interviews with the coaches. We are waiting for her answer.

• What is purpose of this page and what sort of content will it feature?

  This page will feature articles profiling some of the great players and teams in Patriot history. Fans will also be asked to submit memories of their favorite players, games, and teams. Those submissions will be displayed at this page. We are also considering doing a Patriot Hoops Hall of Fame feature at this page, if time permits. We can use the Profiles area for the Hall of Fame feature.

• Why will this page be attractive to both first-time and repeat site visitors?

  Fans of the current team will enjoy learning about its tradition and history. Alumni will enjoy reminiscing about their own school years. The ability to contribute their own memories of Lincoln Hoops from the past will draw the ongoing interest and interaction of many site visitors.

  Mr. Smith coached the Boys Varsity Basketball team for fifteen year. He has agreed to be interviewed for this page. Paula Dormante will be responsible for maintaining the “Submit your favorite memories of Patriot Hoop History” column.

The article in the second slot of this page will describe the next major fan activity or fan promotion scheduled for the team’s home games. A third article will direct fans to the Fan Messages board to read and post messages of support for the team.
